Covent Garden x Pride
At Cube Projects, we believe that art has the power to transform spaces and elevate communities. This summer, we had the incredible opportunity to collaborate with Covent Garden x The Yards to celebrate Pride in partnership with GSA. Our mission? To wrap the historic brickworks in stunning, digitally printed vinyl murals that radiate colour, energy, and inclusivity. With the ability to remove once the campaign is completed without a trace.
A Celebration of Diversity
Pride is not just a month; it’s a vibrant celebration of love, diversity, and the fight for equality. For this project, we aimed to encapsulate those values through bold and dynamic designs. The murals were meticulously crafted to reflect the spirit of Pride, featuring a mix of bright colors and uplifting imagery that invites everyone to join the celebration.
Bringing The Yards to Life
The Yards in Covent Garden is known for its unique blend of history and modernity. By wrapping the brickworks with our eye-catching murals, we infused new life into this iconic space. The digital printing process allowed us to create intricate designs that stand out against the historic backdrop, making the streets not just a thoroughfare, but a canvas for expression.
The Design Process
Our creative team collaborated closely with GSA to ensure that the murals not only celebrate Pride but also resonate with the local community. Each design we were handed by GSA we ensured that the colour output of the print on our Latex 700W printer reached it’s maximum potential in vibrancy and resolution.
Engaging the Community
One of the most rewarding aspects of this project was the positive response from the community. The murals have become a gathering point, encouraging conversations and connections among locals and visitors alike. Events and celebrations held in The Yards during Pride month were enhanced by the vibrant backdrop, making the area a hub of activity and joy.
Sustainability Matters
At Cube Projects, we’re committed to sustainability. The vinyl materials used for our murals are not only durable and vibrant but also eco-friendly. By choosing sustainable practices, we strive to minimize our environmental impact while creating art that inspires and uplifts.
Material Matters
Using our extensive knowledge of printable materials, we specced a particular product which allows us to mould the vinyl into the texture of the brickwork as if the murals were painted… With the added positive that everything is easily re-moveable. This makes for fast installation and no mess and also an even quicker removal.
